Daily reports

Daily reporting is the core of SUM-IT. Every day, users report progress on the project.

A daily report is the record of one day. You register activities against tasks and units, such as a turbine.

The daily report screen shows what happened that day, and you can edit those details.

  • Add a new activity.
  • Add weather details.
  • Submit your changes.
  • Accept or reject the report.
  • Open another daily report for the same organization role on a different date.
  • Create a report.
  • Delete a report.
  • Change the report date.

Each activity has a type.

Work Schedule is the planned work for that task and unit. For example, the crew records the work already planned for a turbine.

Extra work is additional work beyond that plan. Weather, no access, or a breakdown can be logged as a deviation. The related extra work on the daily report can be linked to that deviation.

Stand by is waiting time for people or equipment. A crane and its crew can be on standby in adverse weather. They can also be on standby when the crane is broken.

Cost, progress, and Records of Event all read this same report. The site does not type the day three times.

Daily Reports in the top menu opens the list of reports for the current project. That item sits after Dashboard.

The usual case is that subcontractors report to the project owner. Who sends a report, and who reviews it, is set on Organizations permissions. The organization that sends the report is previous in the reporting flow. The organization that reviews it is next.

Permissions

View all reports permission on Daily Report functionality lets you see the daily reported data for every organization role assigned to your organization. It also includes organization roles of organizations that granted “Review reported data” to your organization.

View reports for assigned organization role permission on Daily Report functionality lets you see the daily reports for the organization roles you are assigned to. This permission is a subset of View all reports. When View all reports is enabled, this permission is enabled automatically.

If you have View reports for assigned organization role and you can also open Deviation details, Project overview, Dashboard, or Project Summary, those screens stay limited to the organization roles you are assigned to.
